Saved My Life

Miklat helped me save my life. I mean that literally. I truly feel like I’ve been put on the path of starting a second life. Miklat has given me that oppurtunity. Through my willingness to do the introspective work asked of me, as well as the unique counseling provided by Miklat, which I hadn’t experienced before, (I’ve gone through two other 90 day treatment programs) I feel like I have the strongest foundation I’ve ever had in my life to continue walking this path of sobriety and recovery. When I came into the program I couldn’t trust myself to make a decision that didn’t involve drinking or using. Today, I know that isn’t the life I want for myself anymore. I also greatly appreciate the staff’s willingness and understanding to allow me to stay a part of the program, even though I am done my 90 days, as well as continue to take part in counseling on occasion. The counselors and staff here have changed my life and I consider all of them friends. Not just workers who are there to be paid to do a job. I wholeheartedly believe that I could call any one of them if I was struggling and they would be there to help and support me. In my opinion, that’s extremely rare. I’m currently coming up on nine months clean and sober. Next stop one year, one day at a time. Thank you Miklat
